Job Summary:

The Prep Cook is responsible for preparing and seasoning food, following food safety standards. This role involves working under the direction of the Head Cook to ensure high-quality food is served to guests in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Food Preparation: Prepare a variety of food items, including fruits and vegetables, meats, and pastries, according to standardized recipes and methods.
  • Food Safety: Ensure compliance with food safety standards, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
  • Guest Service: Provide excellent guest service, responding to guest preferences and concerns in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate a range of kitchen equipment, including stoves, cook tops, broilers, deep fryers, and microwaves.
Requirements:
  • Experience: At least six months of experience as a cook or prep cook.
  • Skills: Ability to work independently, maintain effective relationships with colleagues, and adapt to changes in menu preparation and production methods.
  • Language: Communication skills in English, both written and oral, are preferred.
Working Conditions:

The Prep Cook will work in a fast-paced, stressful environment, with frequent exposure to smoke and noise. Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
