Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join WSP's Northern California Buildings Team as a Senior Electrical Engineer. As a key member of our team, you will be involved in high-profile projects and have the opportunity to work on a wide range of market sectors, including healthcare, commercial, high-rise residential, aviation, retail, data center, and more.

Responsibilities
  • Project/Financial Management: Work within project budgets and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Business Development: Maintain client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
  • Client Interaction: Collaborate with internal and external client team members to deliver high-quality projects.
  • Technical Responsibilities: Service utility coordination, power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, fire alarm, grounding systems, low voltage infrastructure, emergency power systems, UPS design, coordination with city and state permitting agencies, creation of project drawings and specifications, and more.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
  • 5-10 years' experience designing electrical systems for the built environment.
  • Engineer In Training (E.I.T. Certification) or equivalent.
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical engineering principles, practices, processes, design/build, design/bid/build, and the application to permitting and project work-related issues.
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, follow instruction, work independently, and comply with company policies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the healthcare industry with HCAi experience.
  • PE and/or LEED AP.
  • Experience managing small to mid-size projects.

Compensation: $99,800 - $145,530. WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
