Job Overview

Moe Connections is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Private Audit to lead our private client audit engagements. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of financial information and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Manage Audit Engagements: Oversee audit processes for private clients, ensuring high-quality delivery and adherence to deadlines.
  • Provide Guidance on Complex Issues: Offer expertise on complex accounting and auditing matters, including revenue recognition and business combinations.
  • Develop and Maintain Client Relationships: Foster strong relationships with private clients, serving as a key point of contact and trusted advisor.
  • Review and Analyze Financial Statements: Examine financial statements, internal controls, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise and Mentor Audit Teams: Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment by supervising and mentoring audit teams.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments: Identify potential financial and operational vulnerabilities and develop risk-based audit plans to address them.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Developments: Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure audit methodologies are up to date.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with cross-functional teams to provide integrated solutions and support for clients' evolving needs.
  • Prepare Audit Reports and Presentations: Prepare clear and concise audit reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
  • Participate in Business Development: Participate in business development activities, including proposal preparation and client presentations.
  • Monitor Engagement Budgets and Resource Allocation: Ensure effective management of engagement budgets, resource allocation, and overall project profitability.
  • Ensure Compliance with Professional Standards: Ensure compliance with professional standards and firm policies, including independence and ethical requirements.
  • Conduct Performance Evaluations: Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to team members.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance audit quality, efficiency, and client service.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Related Field: A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is required, with a master's degree or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 Years of Audit Experience: A minimum of 8 years of progressive audit experience in public accounting or a professional services firm is required.
  • Demonstrated Expertise in Private Client Audit Engagements: Demonstrated expertise in private client audit engagements, including complex transactions and technical accounting areas.
  • In-Depth Knowledge of US GAAP and PCAOB Standards: In-depth knowledge of US GAAP, PCAOB standards, and AICPA auditing standards is required.
  • Proven Track Record of Leading and Managing Audit Teams: A proven track record of leading and managing audit teams, with strong coaching and development skills.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Abilities: Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to build rapport and trust with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Experience in Identifying and Addressing Regulatory and Compliance Issues: Experience in identifying and addressing potential regulatory and compliance issues.
  • Proficiency in Audit Software and Tools: Proficiency in audit software and tools, such as Caseware, IDEA, or similar platforms.
