Position Overview: Director of Medical Affairs

The Director of Medical Affairs will possess a comprehensive understanding of the Medical Affairs domain, complemented by exceptional organizational and project management capabilities. This role is pivotal in fostering robust relationships with essential stakeholders within a complex team structure. The incumbent will provide medical and scientific insights regarding the product, including its mechanism of action, safety profile, and clinical effectiveness. Acting as a liaison between BENEV Company Inc and healthcare professionals, this position will lead a team comprising Medical Communication, Medical Information, and Medical/Scientific Liaison, reporting directly to the Chief Medical Officer or Medical Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and nurture strong partnerships with key stakeholders in a multifaceted team environment.
  • Oversee operational responsibilities, including planning, building, launching, implementing, and continuously refining medical capabilities in alignment with departmental strategy and objectives.
  • Contribute to Marketing strategies by providing Medical Insights and information: develop medical strategies to facilitate the launch and commercialization of new products, including scientific communication plans and medical education initiatives.
  • Engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in aesthetic medicine to gather insights, participate in lectures and clinical studies, and foster relationships for future collaborations.
  • Design and implement medical education programs for healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive understanding of the product and its clinical applications.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and guidelines in all medical communications and activities.
  • Lead the execution of FDA requirements concerning prescription drug advertising and promotional labeling to guarantee that all information is accurate and not misleading.
  • Provide medical information and support to healthcare professionals, patients, and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor post-market safety and efficacy of the product, collect and analyze real-world data, and communicate any emerging safety concerns to relevant parties.

The Medical Affairs department is essential in ensuring the successful launch and ongoing support of new products by delivering medical and scientific expertise, developing strategic initiatives, engaging with KOLs, providing educational resources, ensuring regulatory compliance, and conducting post-market surveillance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences or a related field; an advanced degree (e.g., MS, PharmD, or PhD) is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry or similar relevant fields.
  • Strong understanding of Medical Affairs functions with 2-3 years of experience in this area preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and capable of utilizing proprietary software; exceptional writing, editing, and analytical skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple assignments effectively; project management experience is advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exemplary personal and professional integrity and ethical standards.
