Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Department Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and approve design and production work to ensure it meets industry standards and company policies
  • Lead a team of engineers and technicians to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Maintain close liaison with clients to resolve project questions and concerns
  • Manage department resources and staffing to meet client expectations
  • Ensure department goals and objectives are met
  • Coordinate with the corporate office to ensure alignment with company policies and procedures
  • Assist in the formulation of business, marketing, and strategic plans
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
  • Seal and sign construction documents

Requirements

  • 15 years of civil engineering experience
  • Experience leading a team of engineers and technicians
  • Business development experience
  • Experience with design of municipal utilities, streets, and/or land development projects
  • Experience managing a team or office to successful business outcomes
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • PE license - OR & WA required
