**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced Ambulatory Care Nurse to join our team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. This is a full-time position working in the SE Heights Clinic, providing high-quality patient care and leadership in the ambulatory setting.

Estimated Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe, direct patient care utilizing the nursing process in the ambulatory setting.
  • Assume relief charge duties, when designated, and provide clinical leadership for staff.
  • Participate in orientation and evaluation of new personnel, and serve as a mentor to patients to promote self-management, hope, and empowerment.
  • Provide education for patients and/or families about preventive care, medical issues, and the use of prescriptive medical treatment.
  • Identify and report/correct environmental conditions and/or situations that may put a patient at undue risk.

Requirements:

  • Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate with a current RN license in NM or reciprocal agreement by NM.
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider certification within 30 days.
  • 3 years directly related experience, with bilingual skills in English and Spanish (or other specified languages).
