About the Role

Weaver is seeking a highly skilled Audit Senior Associate to join our Commercial team. As an Audit Senior, you will be responsible for performing in-charge responsibilities on larger and more complex engagements, demonstrating a thorough understanding of technical accounting literature and generally accepted auditing standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and enhance client relationships through strong communication and project management skills
  • Execute engagement planning activities, including gathering information for time budgets and designing a risk-based audit approach
  • Perform in-charge responsibilities on larger and more complex engagements
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of technical accounting literature and generally accepted auditing standards
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • 2-4+ years of experience in public accounting, industry, or a combination of both
  • Commercial industry experience
  • Basic familiarity with GAAP and GAAS
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Accounting or related field
  • Ability to mentor and help develop less experienced staff
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • Strong project management, team orientation, and interpersonal skills
