Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at The Alden Network. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct nursing care to our customers and supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by our nursing assistants.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to customers, including administering medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
  • Supervise nursing assistants and ensure they are performing required duties and following established procedures.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for customers, including assessing their needs and monitoring their progress.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care is provided to our customers.
  • Participate in continuing education programs to stay up-to-date on the latest nursing practices and procedures.
Requirements
  • Current, unencumbered license to practice as a RN or LPN in the State of Illinois and/or Wisconsin.
  • Current CPR certificate or ability to become certified within two weeks of employment.
  • Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
  • Ability to make independent decisions and work harmoniously with other personnel.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to move intermittently throughout the workday.
  • Ability to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
  • Ability to function independently and work effectively with customers, family members, and personnel.
