About the Role

Cognizant's Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Cloud Lead Engineer with experience developing and building high-performing, scalable, enterprise applications. As a key member of our digital software team, you will work on high-demand applications and collaborate with product managers, designers, and clients to deliver valuable working software to clients and their users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of cloud-based solutions using Google Cloud Platform and AWS.
  • Oversee security measures and protocols for cloud environments, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Provide expertise in Jenkins, GitHub, and Apigee API Management to streamline development and deployment processes.
  • Implement and manage DevOps tools and concepts to enhance the efficiency and reliability of the development lifecycle.
  • Drive the adoption of DevSecOps practices to integrate security into the DevOps pipeline.
  • Set up and maintain container environments using Docker and Container Registry.
  • Manage API Gateway configurations to ensure seamless API integrations and performance.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address cloud infrastructure needs.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud resource utilization to achieve cost-efficiency.
  • Develop and enforce best practices for cloud architecture and operations.
  • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery planning for critical systems.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members in cloud technologies and best practices.
Requirements
  • Possess a deep understanding of Google Cloud Platform Security and AWS Platform.
  • Demonstrate expertise in Jenkins, GitHub, and Apigee API Management.
  • Have hands-on experience with Docker, Container Registry, and API Gateway.
  • Show proficiency in DevOps tools concepts and automation practices.
  • Exhibit strong knowledge of DevSecOps principles and implementation.
  • Be skilled in infrastructure as code using Terraform.
  • Have a solid background in the Hi-Tech domain.
  • Display excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Be capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in cloud technologies.
