Recreational Therapist for Seniors

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Activities Assistant to join our team at Ridgeway Post Acute. The successful candidate will play a key role in planning and implementing a variety of recreational and social activities for our residents, promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

• Plan and lead recreational activities and events for residents, such as games, arts and crafts, music, and outings
• Encourage resident participation and engagement in a positive and supportive manner
• Maintain activity supplies and equipment, ensuring they are clean, organized, and in good working condition
• Collaborate with the activities director and other staff members to develop and implement engaging activity programs
• Provide one-on-one support and assistance to residents who may need additional help participating in activities

• Previous experience working with seniors or in a healthcare setting preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Creativity and enthusiasm for planning and leading activities
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Compassionate and patient demeanor
• High school diploma or equivalent
