Position Overview

Turner & Townsend is in search of a qualified Project Controls Analyst to contribute to significant commercial construction initiatives. This role involves supporting and executing various strategic and operational real estate development projects, including mixed-use district developments and new workplace office constructions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate existing cost data and generate benchmark reports.
  • Provide weekly updates to clients.
  • Engage in cost negotiations with contractors.
  • Align actual costs with contract pricing.
  • Contribute to value engineering discussions.
  • Assist Program Leaders in managing program-level data.
  • Ensure project compliance is documented per client governance standards.
  • Oversee document control processes.
  • Verify adherence to QA/QC protocols.
  • Conduct thorough research, data collection, and benchmarking against historical data.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of live data to identify trends and key performance indicators.
  • Assess project performance metrics and monitor action plans.
  • Prepare written communication materials, including charts and presentation slides.
  • Support the creation of program-level reports for senior management.
  • Collaborate with clients and project managers to provide data management guidance.
  • Respond to ad hoc data and reporting requests.
  • Track cost review and estimate requests submitted by clients.
  • Prepare necessary documentation for the team.
Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years of post-graduate experience in the construction industry with a solid understanding of cost engineering.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in data management and detailed analysis.
  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proficient in Microsoft and Google Suite applications.
  • Advanced skills in spreadsheets, charts, and presentations.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach.
  • Demonstrated tenacity and ambition to add value and develop solutions.
  • Ability to foster positive working relationships with project teams.
  • Familiarity with client-specific systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Passion for construction and analytical tasks.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and proficiency in spreadsheet applications.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite: Docs, Sheets.
Additional Information

The salary range for this full-time position is $90K-$120K annually. This range reflects a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary based on role and level. It is important to note that Turner & Townsend reserves the right to adjust compensation based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
