Job Summary

Amentum is seeking a skilled Plumber/Pipefitter to join our team in Bothell, WA. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing expert-level support for industrial and commercial plumbing systems, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to work orders and provide advanced-level expertise in plumbing and pipefitting
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plumbing systems, including pipes, fittings, and fixtures
  • Inspect and test plumbing systems to ensure proper function and safety
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout requirements
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment, including grinders, saws, and welding machines
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals and deadlines
Requirements
  • State of Washington Plumbing Contractors License
  • 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance and plumbing
  • 3 years of progressive career experience in industrial, pharmaceutical, biomedical, or research & development facility maintenance
  • Ability to pass a medical evaluation for respirator use and complete a fit test for several types of respirators
  • Ability to obtain a security access badge at our client's location
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical degree in a related field
  • Experience working in a GMP or similar regulated environment
  • Ability to read and understand repair manuals, specifications, drawings, and schematic diagrams
  • Experience working with heavy industrial or manufacturing plant steam systems, centrifugal chillers, air handling units, turbines, boilers, cooling towers, air compressors, air dryers, heat exchangers, exhaust systems, pneumatic controls, and building automation control systems
