Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Technologist to join our team at Arise Austin Medical Center. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons during operative and invasive procedures, ensuring the operating room is adequately prepared and sterile.
- Prepare and maintain aseptic technique, following strict protocols to ensure patient safety and well-being.
- Accurately complete operating room counts, reporting any discrepancies to the surgical team and taking corrective action as needed.
- Anticipate the needs of surgeons and anesthesiologists during procedures, ensuring a seamless and efficient operation.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to ensure accurate documentation and specimen handling.
- Maintain a clean and organized operating room environment, adhering to departmental standards and protocols.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology.
- One (1) year of experience in an operating room setting.
- NBSTA Certification required.
- BLS (American Heart Association) certification.
