Job Summary

Assist experienced pipefitters and construction professionals in the planning, installation, and maintenance of industrial construction projects. This role involves working under supervision to ensure the safe and efficient completion of tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning and layout of construction projects, including reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications.
  • Help install and test various types of pipes and piping systems, including butt welded, socket welded, threaded, and Victaulic joints.
  • Perform tasks such as threading, beveling, and cutting pipe, as well as using hand and power tools to fit and install pipes.
  • Assist in the disassembly and removal of damaged or worn pipes, and install new pipes and fittings as needed.
  • Work closely with installation crews to ensure the safe and efficient movement of materials and equipment.
  • Perform daily safety checks to ensure equipment is in safe operating condition.
  • Work under production schedule pressure to meet project deadlines.
Requirements
  • 3-4 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High school diploma or GED certification preferred.
  • Experience working in one or more construction craft roles as a helper or laborer, or a combination of work experience and training.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
Working Conditions

This role requires working in a fast-paced industrial construction environment, with frequent exposure to loud noises, dust, and other hazardous materials. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, gloves, and a hard hat.
