Position Overview:
The Defense Health Agency Civilian Corps is seeking a dedicated Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality therapeutic services to a diverse patient demographic, ensuring optimal recovery and rehabilitation outcomes.

As a Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant, you will be part of a dynamic environment that supports military personnel and their families, contributing to their health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate therapeutic equipment and develop exercise regimens in line with established rehabilitation protocols.

- Administer therapeutic interventions to patients, utilizing modalities such as heat, cold, water, electrical stimulation, massage, and therapeutic exercises to address physical impairments, injuries, and medical conditions.

- Conduct assessments to evaluate leg length discrepancies, joint mobility, trunk range of motion, and muscle girth to identify atrophy, swelling, or other concerns.

- Perform comprehensive evaluations related to strength and reflexes.

- Educate patients on heart rate monitoring, pulse assessment, blood pressure evaluation, and safety measures prior to initiating exercise programs.

- Deliver direct therapeutic care to a varied patient population, including those who are ambulatory, non-ambulatory, and critically ill.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of one year of relevant experience in a therapeutic setting is required.
