The University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics seeks a talented and dedicated Physician Assistant to join our Family Medicine team. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care, participate in education and research activities, and contribute to the advancement of our field.

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:

  • Provide direct patient care, including diagnosing and treating medical conditions, ordering lab tests, and prescribing medications.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans, considering the unique needs and circumstances of each patient.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless coordination of care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, using EMRs and other digital tools as needed.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing ideas and expertise to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements and Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must:

  • Hold a Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program or possess relevant experience and certifications.
  • Meet registration and licensure requirements set by the Iowa Board of Physician Assistant Examiners.
  • Demonstrate a minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a primary care setting, preferably with adults and children.
  • Show proficiency in EPIC software or be willing to learn.
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $115,000 - $130,000 per year, based on experience. Our comprehensive fringe benefit package includes:
