Job Summary

Patterson is seeking a skilled Veterinary Equipment Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and technical support to our veterinary clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to customer service calls, diagnose problems, and make appropriate repairs to veterinary equipment.
  • Repair, load, deliver, install, and specify equipment to meet manufacturer, federal, and state regulations.
  • Train customers on the use and basic maintenance of equipment at their site.
  • Complete all required service forms, including service orders, confirmations, inventory, expense reports, time sheets, and equipment-related items.
  • Ensure service commitments are met within standard response time.
  • Maintain relevant communication with Service Coordinators, Equipment Specialists, and Territory Managers.
  • Determine parts, supplies, or tools needed to complete service requests.
  • Use, maintain, and secure test devices and tools used to adjust, calibrate, and repair equipment.
  • Manage vehicle inventory and restock as necessary.
  • Ensure proper vehicle maintenance guidelines and safe driving habits are followed.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of all company-provided assets, including phones, computers, parts, tools, and uniforms.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5 years of prior experience in a veterinary/medical/dental environment.
  • PC skills in Windows-based programs.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Motivated team player.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 4 years of experience as a Certified, Licensed, or Registered Veterinary Technician.
  • Previous X-Ray experience preferred.
  • SAP experience.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Carpentry/plumbing/heating/electrical/electronic-related experience.
  • Technical training in Bio-med/electronics or related technical fields.
