Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary ICU Technician to join our team at Capital Veterinary Specialists, Jax. As a key member of our ICU team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, supporting veterinarians, and educating clients on pet health concerns.

Responsibilities
  • Support veterinarians in ensuring quality veterinary care and advocating for pets
  • Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with state Veterinary Practice Act
  • Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options
  • Maintain relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems
  • Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts
  • Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs
Requirements
  • Prefer one year of recent experience in an emergency or specialty setting
  • Commitment to working within a team environment
  • Positive, will-do attitude
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Proven ability to multi-task in a busy work setting
