Position Overview

The Assistant Property Manager plays a crucial role in the effective administration and operation of properties managed by our organization. Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver reliable and professional support to ensure an outstanding experience for tenants and property owners.
  • Assist the Asset Manager with property operations and administrative tasks.
  • Act as a Problem Solver, addressing resident complaints with professionalism and calmness.
  • Manage the leasing process, including marketing, showing units, conducting initial interviews, processing applications, and lease signing.
  • Organize and host open houses while ensuring online marketing campaigns are up-to-date.
  • Prepare and initiate lease agreements for new tenants based on information from the Asset Manager.
  • Enforce lease terms and address any violations promptly.
  • Oversee accurate financial accounts, including collections and reconciliations for current, past, and future tenants.
  • Conduct regular property checks, annual inspections, and serve notices as required.
  • Prepare security deposit reconciliations and assess appropriate charges.
  • Coordinate tenant maintenance requests and work orders efficiently.
  • Distribute tenant renewal letters based on the Asset Manager's guidance.
  • Demonstrate reliability by arriving to work as scheduled and ready for a productive day.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum of three years' experience in property management or the real estate sector.
  • Some background in sales is preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Experience with property management software, particularly Appfolio, is highly advantageous.
  • Possession of a CA real estate license is required within six months of employment.
