Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Gas General Foreman to lead our crew in the installation and repair of natural gas pipelines and joint trench utilities for power and telephone systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate Crew Work: Oversee the installation of natural gas pipelines, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Obtain Necessary Licenses and Permits: Secure all required licenses, permits, and materials for each job, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Ensure Work Quality and Timeliness: Monitor and control work progress, ensuring that projects are completed on schedule and to the required standard.
  • Facilitate Daily Toolbox Talks and Weekly Safety Inspections: Lead daily safety discussions and conduct weekly safety inspections to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Train New Hires and Track Employee Hours: Provide on-the-job training to new employees and accurately track employee hours worked.
  • Communicate with Customers and Inspectors: Liaise with customers and inspectors to ensure that all requirements are met and that projects are completed to their satisfaction.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3 years of gas pipeline construction experience and 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Certifications: Class A CDL and OSHA 10 certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5 or More Years of Gas Pipeline Construction Experience: Ideal candidate will have extensive experience in gas pipeline construction.
  • Operator Qualification (OQ): Possession of OQ certification is highly desirable.
  • Pipe Fusion Certification: Certification in pipe fusion is a plus.
  • DOT Flagger Certification: DOT flagger certification is an asset.
  • First Aid and CPR Certification: First aid and CPR certification is required.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:

This role operates in a field environment and requires physical activity, including bending, lifting, and working in various weather conditions. The ideal candidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and have strong hand-eye coordination.
