Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Packaging Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Chalmette, LA. This hands-on engineering role will focus on improving the efficiency, safety, and quality of packaging equipment in our Production Department.

Main Responsibilities

  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs in the packaging department.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot new and existing equipment, identify root causes, and develop solutions to production problems.
  • Project Management: Originates concepts for new and existing packaging equipment, including support equipment such as conveying, robotics, instrumentation, weight control, and quality systems.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate ideas and concepts to peers, subordinates, and leadership within the organization and across organizational lines.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Education: BS/BA in mechanical, civil, or electrical engineering or similar discipline such as industrial engineering.
  • Work Experience: 2+ years in a manufacturing/industrial environment in an engineering capacity.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Fundamental understanding of electrical design practices, control systems integration, electro-mechanical drive systems, and safety.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is between $70,000 and $100,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
