Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to join our team at Magna International. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for planning, assigning, directing, and coordinating activities related to 2nd or 3rd shift operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise Team Leader(s) and Production Team Associates, including planning, assigning, directing, and coordinating their day-to-day activities.
  • Assist the Production Manager in determining and managing appropriate manpower requirements.
  • Train new and transferred employees on their job duties and responsibilities, and cross-train as necessary.
  • Ensure employees are consistently adhering to standardized work processes and rotation schedules.
  • Track and report daily production, and drive improvements where necessary.
  • Participate and lead process improvement projects: productivity, quality, ergonomics, etc.
  • Ensure all Company policies, procedures, plant standards, and safety rules are consistently adhered to.
  • Collaborate with the Department Manager and Human Resources Manager in the administration of disciplinary action, when necessary.
  • Monitor, maintain, and record employees' time related to the Attendance and Time-Off Policies.
Requirements
  • Minimum of three (3) years of production supervisory experience or a minimum of five (5) years of team leadership experience in an automotive manufacturing facility.
  • JIT experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team oriented, communicates well with others, and able to interact with people at all levels and departments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills.
  • Detail oriented and excellent documentation skills.
  • Working knowledge of safety standards and OSHA guidelines.
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and various manufacturing software.
