Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Southhampton Management. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our Maintenance Supervisor and ensuring the upkeep of our properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with all types of service requests, including but not limited to:
  • Picking up trash and debris, including cigarette butts, leaves, papers, empty cans, and other items
  • Checking all dumpsites to ensure no overflow
  • Using a blower to clear sidewalks, pool area, and dumpsites of debris, leaves, and mud
  • Maintaining the pool according to local health department regulations, including:
  • Maintaining proper chemicals
  • Scrubbing the side and bottom of the pool with a scrub brush
  • Upkeep of waterfalls and related equipment
  • Shampooing vacant and occupied units, including carrying a shampoo machine (30 lb.) and 5 gallons of water (52 lb.)
  • Ensuring all outside lights are properly working and replacing vacant unit light bulbs as needed
  • Preparing lights-out reports
  • Preparing assigned units for move-ins in a timely manner and to company expectations according to the Maintenance/Make-Ready Checklist
  • Assisting with painting of vacant units and touch-up paint, including carrying and lifting paint buckets (up to 70 lbs.)
  • Watering plants around entrance and office as needed
Requirements
  • Treat residents and fellow employees in a courteous and professional manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned
