  • Planning and developing stratigraphic cross-section profiles, evaluating individual boring logs, and applying graphic grain size logs (GSLs) coding.

Stratigraphic Interpretation:
Utilizing knowledge of regional geology, depositional environments, and facies models to produce geologically sound interpretations and correlations among data points.

Communication:
Creating and presenting geologically based conceptual site models through various hard copy and digital platforms.

Data Assessment:

Expertise:
Applying in-depth knowledge of prevalent environmental concepts, practices, codes, and procedures within the environmental consulting sector.

Project Leadership:
Leading the preparation of work plans, investigation reports, feasibility studies, remedial designs, and their implementation.

Team Collaboration:
Participating in the development of project schedules, scopes, budget staffing, and construction planning, while also engaging in sales and marketing initiatives to identify key pursuits.

Mentorship:
Providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior geoscientists, ensuring adherence to QA/QC processes and effective communication across environmental and engineering disciplines.

Safety Compliance:
Ensuring compliance with company and site safety protocols.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Geology or a related Environmental field from an ABET accredited program is mandatory. A Master's degree in Geology with a focus on stratigraphy is preferred. A minimum of 7 years of experience in environmental consulting is required, with a preference for 10 years. A Professional Geologist (PG) license is advantageous.

Experience:
Experience with Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments, site investigations, soil and groundwater sampling, logging soil borings, and data analysis is a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to lead large projects and delegate tasks effectively within a team environment.

Attention to Detail:
Demonstrated critical thinking skills, the ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment, and a strong focus on detail, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills are crucial.
