Job Description

Oracle is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Architect to join our team. As a key member of our MySQL HeatWave Cloud Engineering team, you will be responsible for driving overall MySQL HeatWave adoption.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with our sales teams to help customers and prospects identify and define their core issues, determine a path to create real opportunities for their organizations, and deliver presentations and demonstrations to help them understand our solutions for them.
  • Handle a high volume of engagements and the fast pace of the cloud computing market.
  • Maintain strong database technical knowledge with ability to go deep enough on technical aspects to differentiate between varied database approaches (relational, non-relational, in-memory, data warehousing, etc.).
  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations, product demos, sample solutions, and discussions to drive awareness and adoption of MySQL HeatWave.
  • Identify leads for potential partnerships and customer opportunities in the MySQL Database Ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to define the product road map and market positioning for MySQL HeatWave offerings.
  • Identify, drive, develop & support community user groups and developer program initiatives for MySQL HeatWave.
Requirements
  • Fluent English
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations is key.
  • This person will be technical and analytical, and possess significant business development, enterprise sales, or program/product management experience.
  • Computer Science or Engineering preferred.
  • Travel required 25-35%.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Database experience, programming skills, Linux skills highly preferred
  • Cloud Skills and experience highly preferred.
  • AWS and/or GCP Certifications.
  • MySQL and/or OCI Certifications.
  • LAMP Stack hands-on experience.
  • Database Systems Certifications.
  • Experience working with MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL and AWS databases.
  • Experience working and traveling independently.
  • Machine learning and GenAI knowledge are a plus.
  • Experience with public speaking at conferences and meetups.
