Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide community-based prevocational services, community habilitation services, or both, to assigned individuals, focusing on their work skills, self-care, and overall well-being.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Team Leaders and Supervisory Staff to ensure individuals receive the necessary support to enhance their work skills and behaviors.
  • Coordinate and lead group activities, preparing for each session, ensuring supplies are available, and communicating details with other staff.
  • Assist with providing shadowing experiences for new employees, demonstrating tasks such as signing out vehicles and gas cards.
  • Attend life plan meetings, providing updates on individuals' activities and feedback on their progress towards their goals.
  • Document services accurately and timely, using the JM Murray Electronic Medical Record and equipment such as computers, laptops, and tablets.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with sound decision-making skills and judgment.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style to meet the needs of individuals served.
  • Compassionate and caring attitude, with the ability to lift, push, pull, and move at least 50 lbs.

Working Conditions:

Job assignments may take place indoors and outdoors, requiring travel to various community locations in various environmental conditions.
