Job Title: Communications Co-Op

Job Summary:

Navarro Inc. is seeking a talented Communications Specialist to support our Communications organization. As a Communications Specialist, you will play a key role in creating and implementing materials that target various audiences via campaigns, newsletters, and press releases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Development: Plan, coordinate, edit, and write narratives to support strategic priorities.
  • Story Identification: Identify stories and produce high-quality written materials for electronic, print, web, video, and media outlets.
  • Material Design: Coordinate the design and copywriting of materials.
  • Research and Interviews: Interview source persons and research subjects to obtain information and verify facts.
  • Event Support: Support event planning activities.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Education: Currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in Communications or English.
  • Experience: Combination of investigative, planning, and social media experience and skills.
  • Style Guidelines: Understanding of Associated Press style guidelines.
  • Software Proficiency: Working knowledge of MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, Canva, SharePoint software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Coursework: Coursework in Interpersonal Communications, Organizational Communications, English, Technical Writing, and Creative Writing.

Benefits:

  • Salary Range: Sophomore: $17.70/hr., Junior: $19.36/hr., Senior: $22.49/hr., Post-Graduate: $25.71/hr.
