Building Maintenance Specialist

RedGuard, LLC is seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Technician to join our team in Wichita, KS. As a key member of our service lot team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and modification of portable storage containers, blast-resistant modular buildings, and other industrial buildings at our service yards.
This is a full-time, safety-sensitive position that requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will be responsible for assessing the condition of our units, performing repairs and maintenance, and ensuring that our buildings are ready for the next customer.

Responsibilities- Assess the condition of our units and perform repairs and maintenance as needed.
- Perform preventive maintenance on our assets and equipment at customer or company sites.
- Provide prompt and proper service and maintenance in preparation for the next rental.
- Troubleshoot and perform carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and communication repair or replacement.
- Examine products or work to verify conformance to specifications and ensure quality of products or work.
- Follow established safety and security rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- 6+ months of construction-related experience.
- Ability to read a tape measure and practice basic arithmetic.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions and provide consistent work.
- Works well as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to obtain forklift or heavy equipment certification.
This position is subject to both environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside. Temperatures can be below 32 degrees or above 100 degrees for periods longer than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions, such as wind and humidity.
This position is regularly subject to repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers and is regularly required to operate machinery and/or power tools. Occasionally required to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
This position is regularly required to ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like.
The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.
