Job Overview

Position: Project Manager

Join us at River to Tap, Inc. (R2T), a dedicated small business enterprise specializing in water and wastewater services. We offer a comprehensive suite of engineering and consulting solutions to clients across the eastern United States. Our mission is to assist clients in executing sustainable projects while contributing positively to the communities we serve.

We are seeking a Project Manager to enhance our expanding engineering team in the DC Metro Area. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with fellow project managers and team leaders in the Mid-Atlantic region to oversee and implement tasks related to municipal water and wastewater conveyance and treatment engineering. This encompasses all stages of water, wastewater, and stormwater projects, including planning, design, and construction management.

This position involves direct client interaction, managing projects, and providing guidance to junior engineering personnel. Reporting to the Mid-Atlantic Area Manager, you will also engage in business development initiatives and contribute to our growth strategy in the DC Metro area. This role presents a significant opportunity for professional advancement for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and implement engineering solutions for various components related to water, wastewater, and stormwater facilities.
  • Lead project teams by establishing clear goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate project resources to ensure timely delivery of detailed design documents, technical reports, and planning materials.
  • Provide technical leadership as a design expert, quality assurance reviewer, or technical consultant.
  • Supervise and mentor technical staff and engineers.
  • Foster client relationships by understanding their needs and delivering effective solutions, particularly with key clients.
  • Assist the senior management team in business development efforts, including proposal preparation and project scope development.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in the engineering and consulting sector, particularly in water, wastewater, and/or stormwater engineering, with progressive project management responsibilities.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) License in relevant jurisdictions or the ability to obtain one through reciprocity.
  • Experience managing municipal water, wastewater, and/or stormwater projects.
  • Proven design and planning experience in municipal facility projects.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project delivery expectations and mentor junior staff.

This role requires a hybrid work arrangement, necessitating in-office presence in the DC Metro Area on a scheduled basis.

R2T offers a competitive compensation package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, disability and life insurance, professional development opportunities, generous paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching.

Compensation will be determined based on the qualifications of the applicant. All candidates offered a position must successfully complete a background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
