Clinical Psychologist

MDPerm is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will provide comprehensive behavioral health services to active duty military personnel and their families.
About the Department:The Fort Belvoir Community Hospital Adult Outpatient Behavioral Health department provides a range of mental health services, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health conditions. Our team is dedicated to providing compassionate and respectful care to our patients.
Responsibilities:- Conduct biopsychosocial evaluations and provide therapeutic interventions to individuals, groups, and families.
- Support local and remote Soldier readiness processing events, providing behavioral health clinical care management services and screening for deployment-related symptoms.
- Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team, developing and implementing comprehensive treatment care plans in partnership with patients, other healthcare providers, and community resources.
- Perform Mental Status Evaluations, Fitness for Duty Evaluations, and other clinical examinations requiring a DSM-5 diagnosis.
- Coordinate services for patients who move to another location, ensuring continuity of care.
- Doctorate in clinical or counseling psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited program.
- Completed an APA-approved clinical psychology internship.
- Minimum of two years of experience in clinical psychology, preferably in a Government setting such as a DoD or Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) MTF.
- Knowledge and experience with the military health system, combat/deployment issues, and medically unexplained symptoms.
