POSITION SUMMARY:
The Statewide Healthcare Services Manager is a Registered Nurse responsible for overseeing the delivery of contracted services within designated institutions. This role collaborates with the Operations management team to establish, implement, and monitor the strategic direction and plans for the organization. In partnership with executive medical leadership, the Statewide Manager ensures effective clinical quality oversight across the company.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Act as the liaison with senior-level clients to guarantee satisfaction and foster ongoing business opportunities.
- Direct regional resources for the implementation of contract support and personnel programs.
- Collaborate with medical leadership to implement and monitor clinical quality oversight.
- Engage in marketing and sales processes by providing operational insights on staffing development and proposal creation.
- Promote VitalCore's contract services consistently.
- Manage public relations within the region, including interactions with government officials and organizations.
- Analyze financial reports for the region and take corrective actions as necessary.
- Oversee regional budgeting and lead operational planning processes.
- Implement a contract audit program and ensure audits are conducted bi-annually at each site.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting from each assigned region to the client and Corporate Office.
- Prepare monthly summaries on the operational status of the region.
- Monitor labor management proactively and take corrective actions to maintain staffing levels in line with contract requirements.
- Ensure that all Provider Contracting activities align with clinical services specified by client contracts.
- Develop a strategic plan for recruitment efforts, maintaining effective selection and retention practices.
- Identify high-performing management personnel and plan for their development and succession.
- Provide mentoring and coaching to direct reports to enhance management and supervisory skills across the organization.
- Conduct special projects as requested by the Corporate Office.
- Serve as the information resource during contract negotiations.
- Ensure regular visits to each facility in the assigned area by Regional management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain accurate and detailed reports and records.
- Administer medications and monitor patients for reactions and side effects.
- Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
- Monitor and report changes in patients' conditions.
- Consult with healthcare team members to assess and evaluate patient care plans.
- Modify treatment plans based on patient responses and conditions.
- Oversee all aspects of patient care, including diet and physical activity.
- Supervise less-skilled nursing or healthcare personnel.
- Prepare patients for examinations or treatments.
- Educate individuals and groups on health topics and develop health improvement programs.
- Prepare rooms and ensure the availability of sterile instruments and supplies.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the facility.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduate of an Accredited Nursing School required; Bachelor or Master's Degree in nursing preferred.
- Licensed to practice nursing and board-certified or board-eligible in medicine, with experience in adult care.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of management experience in healthcare if Master's prepared; eight (8) years if Bachelor's prepared.
- Multi-site management experience is highly desirable.
- Correctional healthcare experience is preferred.
- Subject to initial and ongoing security clearance requirements.
