Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Behavioral Health Unit as a RN Behavioral Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care to our patients with mental health needs. Your expertise and compassion will be essential in helping us achieve our goal of delivering excellent patient outcomes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Perform initial and ongoing physical and psychosocial assessments according to accepted standards of nursing practice
* Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs
* Evaluate patient response to interventions and revise nursing plans of care as needed
* Participate in treatment team conferences to assist in planning and revising goals, objectives, and interventions appropriate to the age-related and problem-specific needs of each patient
* Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate while utilizing computerized documentation systems
* Initiate/document discharge planning and patient teaching
Requirements:
* Must hold a current license from the Virginia Board of Nursing or compact license with eligibility to practice in Virginia
* ADN degree (BSN preferred)
* Current BLS certification
* Crisis intervention skills, calm demeanor, and high energy for a fast-paced working environment
Compensation and Benefits:
