Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough diagnostics and repairs on a range of heavy construction machinery, including but not limited to compactors, loaders, excavators, dozers, and haul trucks.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly and positively to client needs, ensuring maximum value is delivered during field operations.
- Utilize independent judgment to oversee the safe maintenance and repair of various equipment, encompassing mechanical, hydraulic, gas, diesel, and electrical systems.
- Maintain a tidy and secure work environment, adhering to all safety protocols; ensure that service vehicles are kept in a professional condition.
- Collaborate effectively with management and team members to meet customer expectations.
- Assist fellow technicians with troubleshooting and repair tasks as necessary.
- Employ modern communication tools to keep all parties informed about job status and customer requirements.
- Accurately document labor, parts utilized, and work performed to facilitate timely billing and work order closure.
- Be available for after-hours emergency calls as directed by management.
- Identify and communicate inventory needs for parts.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Completion of a 2-year technical degree or a high school diploma with relevant experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in diesel equipment repair, preferably in a field setting.
- Proficient knowledge of hydraulic systems, transmissions, undercarriage components, electrical systems, and fuel systems.
- Ability to diagnose equipment issues independently and interpret schematics effectively.
- Strong desire to deliver outstanding customer service with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving skills complemented by modern communication and computer proficiency.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
- Willingness to respond to emergency calls outside of regular hours as required.
- Must possess a personal mechanic tool set and maintain a clean driving record.
- Class A CDL or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.
- Obtain a DOT medical certification card and pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical examination.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to push/pull up to 50 lbs and lift/carry up to 60 lbs.
- Capable of lifting bulky items and performing various physical tasks including standing, walking, climbing, and repetitive bending.
