Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Press Operator to join our team at Heartland Label Printers. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating flexographic printing machines to produce high-quality label rolls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and examine printed products for print clarity, color accuracy, and conformance to specifications
  • Adjust printing plates, pressure rolls, and other equipment to improve print quality
  • Monitor feeding, printing, and racking processes to maintain specified operating levels and detect malfunctions
  • Pour ink, color compounds, and other materials into ink pans, making measurements and adjustments to control color and viscosity
  • Clean and lubricate printing machines and components, using oil, solvents, brushes, rags, and hoses
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate's degree in printing processes preferred
  • Previous flexographic printing experience and mechanical aptitude a must
  • Working knowledge of PC and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required

Our shifts are Monday-Thursday 5:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., Monday-Thursday 3:00 p.m.-1:00 a.m., Friday-Sunday 3:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., and Friday-Sunday 3:00 p.m.-3:00 a.m. Pay is based on experience, and shift differentials are offered for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th shifts.
