The Financial Operations Manager plays a crucial role within the finance department. This position involves overseeing accounting functions and reporting directly to the Controller.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the prompt and precise execution of financial and accounting operations.
These responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to:
- Month-End and Year-End Closing and Reporting.
- Conducting Balance Sheet Reconciliations and Reviews.
- Experience in cost accounting, including standard cost setting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Collaborate with and prepare documentation for both External and Internal Auditors.
- Monitor Fixed Assets and capital expenditure.
- Enhance General Accounting processes (Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable).
- Analyze and track costs with an emphasis on manufacturing expenses.
- Prepare, process, review, and authorize various journal entries and accruals.
- Assist in the annual inventory count and reconciliation process.
- Support other departmental functions as required by the Controller.
- Demonstrate strategic thinking and adaptability in a dynamic environment.

Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA/CMA designation preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP.
- At least 10 years of experience in an accounting capacity.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, particularly various costing methods (Standard, ABC, Direct, etc.) and regulatory matters.
- Ability to quickly identify issues, analyze data, and foresee potential challenges.
- Willingness to travel as necessary, up to 10%.
- Commitment to adhere to the JPS Code of Conduct and all corporate policies and procedures.
