Job Responsibilities

As a Radiologic Technician, your duties will include:

  • Conducting timely and high-quality radiology procedures for evaluation and treatment by the attending physician.
  • Performing quality control checks and audits on radiologic equipment.
  • Administering drug screenings, urinalysis, and other in-house laboratory tests, including processing specimens for external laboratories.
  • Maintaining records and logs of activities related to in-house lab work, drug screenings, and x-rays sent to other facilities.
  • Ensuring adherence to occupational client preference cards and procedures.
  • Assisting with general patient care as necessary.
Qualifications

Ideal candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a patient care environment is advantageous.
  • A High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduation from an accredited Radiological Sciences program.
  • A current ARRT license is mandatory.
  • A General Medical Radiology Technician (GMRT) license if required by state regulations.
  • The ability to obtain BLS Certification within 30 days of employment.
  • Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification must be obtained within 3 months of employment or promotion.
  • For TENNESSEE applicants: A current state license to practice radiologic services in a physician practice or clinic is required.
