Job Title: Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician - PRN

At Titus Regional Medical Center, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician to join our team on a PRN basis.

Job Summary:

The Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician will function as part of the dialysis team in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy for patients under the direct supervision of a licensed registered nurse. The ideal candidate will have experience in dialysis care and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the maintenance of a safe and clean working environment.
  • Help and support the hospital commitment to Quality Enhancement programs.
  • Participate in the process of improvement activities.
  • Collaborate with the Supervisor and Education in helping quality standards through education.
  • Assist in the training of applicable direct patient care staff.
  • Provide developmental support to applicable clinical and facility staff.
  • Participate in helping education programs for CCHT staff.
  • Document all treatment data into the designated clinical application.
  • Review/audit treatment sheet for completeness.
  • Prepare and print lab requisitions for prescribed or stat lab specimens.
  • Collect, label, and appropriately prepare and store lab samples.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid PCT national certification as defined by the Center for Medicaid & Medicare Services.
  • CPR certification as required by state law.
  • Prefer minimum of 1 year dialysis experience.
  • Complete TRMC facility orientation and passing a written exam for hemodialysis care.
Working Conditions:

The work environment is characteristic of a health care facility with air temperature control and moderate noise level. The job provides direct patient care that regularly involves heavy lifting and moving of patients and assisting with transfers. The employee must be able to bend over and push/pull equipment, exerting up to 15 pounds of force. The employee will be required to lift and lower solutions on a frequent basis of up to 30 pounds.

The employee will be required to take a color-blind test as a condition of employment.
