Job Title: Operations Supervisor

Penske Logistics is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team of logistics professionals. As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of warehouse staff to ensure customer requirements are met while meeting our company goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and sustain a culture of excellence in the warehouse, ensuring all staff are trained and competent in their roles.
  • Monitor attendance, productivity, and performance standards, providing coaching and counseling to associates as needed.
  • Supervise logistics operations, including customer service, freight loading and unloading, dispatch, and documentation control.
  • Conduct team meetings and evaluate and recommend changes in work methods to increase productivity.
  • Provide relief coverage for operational duties and have a thorough working knowledge of the site's operating systems.
  • Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Communicate with employees regarding company performance, corporate activities, and employee benefits.
  • Enforce and adhere to company rules and regulations, leading by example and maintaining morale within the warehouse.
  • Train, develop, and motivate hourly employees to be productive, accurate, and efficient.
  • Analyze and interpret computer reports related to productivity, accuracy, and efficiency.
Requirements:
  • 3-4 years of leadership experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Previous DC supervisory experience with proven innovative and technical capabilities.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to actively listen.
  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage through problems, think independently, and make decisions.
  • Ability to drive process improvement and lead change.
Physical Requirements:

The associate will be required to read, communicate verbally and/or in written form, remember and analyze certain information, and remember and understand certain instructions or guidelines. While performing the duties of this job, the associate may be required to stand, walk, and sit. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms.

May be required to lift over 50 lbs. up to 75 lbs., requesting assistance if necessary. Must be able to walk, stand, for at least 8 hours per shift. Must be able to lift from a floor level utilizing proper lifting technique.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to work in varying environmental conditions within a typical Warehouse setting, including heat, cold, dust, noise, and moving machinery.
