Production Assembly Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Production Assembly Specialist to join our team at Johnson Controls. This role involves performing a combination of production assembly tasks, ensuring conformance to specifications and continuous production consistent with established standards. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment and excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
About the Role:
This is a challenging opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. As a Production Assembly Specialist, you will be responsible for assembling parts to form complete units or subassemblies at a bench or conveyor line in an open-air manufacturing environment. You may be assigned to work in any area of the facility where required, including final assembly, subassembly, and insulation.
The successful candidate will have a high school diploma/GED and relevant experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment. They will also possess excellent communication & interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to read, communicate, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, blueprints, and engineering drawings in the English Language.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs a combination of production assembly tasks using hand tools, small power tools, and other special equipment following detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures (written and verbal) to meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Operates within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
- Maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions and complies with all safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisors.
- Performs first article inspection for conformance to specifications both blueprint and work order.
