Position Summary:

We are in search of a qualified and certified Facilities Maintenance Technician to become part of our energetic team. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on expertise in general facility upkeep and a robust background in HVAC systems. This position is crucial for ensuring the seamless operation of our facility's infrastructure and systems, troubleshooting issues, and executing routine maintenance tasks. The technician will play a vital role in sustaining a safe, functional, and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. HVAC System Management:
    • Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs on HVAC systems, encompassing heating, cooling, and ventilation units.
    • Diagnose and rectify HVAC system failures and carry out necessary repairs or replacements.
    • Oversee HVAC system calibrations to guarantee optimal performance.
  2. General Facility Upkeep:
    • Perform routine maintenance assessments on facility equipment and systems, including plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
    • Address and resolve facility-related concerns promptly to minimize operational disruptions.
    • Execute minor repairs and maintenance on building infrastructure, such as lighting, fixtures, and flooring.
  3. Safety and Compliance:
    • Adhere to safety regulations and protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
    • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs conducted.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations concerning building systems and safety standards.
  4. Emergency Maintenance Response:
    • React to emergency maintenance requests and perform urgent repairs as necessary.
    • Be available for on-call support as required.
  5. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain comprehensive logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
    • Report any significant issues or potential hazards to the Facilities Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in HVAC, building maintenance, or a related field preferred.
  • Certifications: Valid HVAC certification (e.g., EPA Section 608, NATE) is required.
