Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal counsel to clients on various aspects of business and commercial law.
- Represent clients in commercial litigation and manage all aspects of the litigation process.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex business contracts and agreements.
- Advise clients on legal rights and obligations in business transactions.
- Research and analyze the law on complex issues and write briefs for submission to a supervising attorney.
- Conduct due diligence in business transactions and advise clients on potential legal risks.
- Stay updated on current business laws and regulations and inform clients about any changes that might affect their business operations.
- Develop strategies to manage legal risks and ensure that our clients' business practices, policies, and dealings meet all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- A valid California Bar License.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as an associate attorney, with a focus on business and commercial law.
- Proven experience in commercial litigation and business transactions.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to interpret and draft complex legal documents.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and managing legal risks.
- Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues in clear, accessible language.
- A high level of professionalism and adherence to strict ethical standards.
- The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
