SUMMARY: The IT Support Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting the organization in achieving its operational goals by providing support to the IT Manager in the daily IT functions and activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Providing daily IT support as required.
  • Managing inventory, setup, and maintenance of computers, software, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Overseeing antivirus and patch management, along with monitoring for operating systems.
  • Offering basic support for Active Directory Users & Computers.
  • Delivering end-user help desk assistance.
  • Ensuring compliance with Corporate Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Administering mobile devices.
  • Maintaining a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional local travel.
  • Executing additional tasks as assigned by the IT Manager.
CHARACTERISTICS AND SKILLS:

The ideal candidate will exhibit a strong commitment to service and execution. Required characteristics include:
  • Exceptional customer service skills, patience, organization, and effective communication.
  • Proficiency in computer software, hardware maintenance, and technical support.
  • Experience in diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading PC hardware, along with basic network troubleshooting.
  • Self-motivated with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interpret diverse communication styles.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Associate's degree in a relevant field.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Support experience with Microsoft Windows 10 & 11 Operating Systems.
  • Experience with Windows Server 2016 & 2019 Operating Systems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Suite.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory.
REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES:

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • This position is on-site.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Standard work hours are generally 40 hours per week, with flexibility based on business needs.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands for this role include regular sitting, seeing, talking, and hearing. The employee must be able to use hands for various tasks and may occasionally lift up to fifty (50) pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Effective communication and collaboration skills are essential for interacting with employees, government agencies, and suppliers.
