Job Summary

McLaughlin Research Corporation is seeking highly skilled Engineering Technicians to provide support at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport. As an Engineering Technician, you will apply your technical knowledge to perform routine tasks following detailed instructions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a team to assemble, install, and operate complex mechanical components in support of operational, performance, and qualification testing.
  • Assemble or install equipment or parts requiring simple wiring, soldering, or connecting.
  • Perform simple or routine mechanical tasks or tests such as tensile or hardness tests.
  • Operate and adjust simple test equipment.
  • Gather and maintain specified records of engineering data such as tests, drawings, etc.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years experience assembling, operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical systems.
  • High degree of mechanical aptitude.
  • Familiarity with mechanical assembly drawings and parts lists.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with CAT 3 Crane and Rigging.
