Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Bridge Engineer to join our team in Memphis, TN. As a Bridge Engineer, you'll play a critical role in designing and developing innovative solutions for our clients' bridge projects. You'll work closely with our team of engineers, project managers, and other technical staff to ensure that our projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop bridge projects, including inspection, load rating, and design of new bridges and bridges to be rehabilitated.
  • Participate in the production of project plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
  • Conduct site and field visits during construction, review shop drawings, and work independently to ensure project success.
  • Produce high-quality deliverables while meeting budget and schedules on multiple concurrent projects.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, including supervising and mentoring entry-level staff.
  • Provide QA/QC on design calculations, design plans, inspection reports, load rating calculations, and reports.
Qualifications
  • BS or MS degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • 6 or more years of experience in bridge design, bridge rehabilitation design, inspection, and load rating.
  • Professional Engineer certification (P.E.) is preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Experience working with complex software such as MDX, MIDAS, LUSAS, AASHTO Ware, Bentley Bridge Design Software (Open Bridge and LEAP), LARSA, etc.
  • Experience using computer-assisted engineering and design software to prepare engineering and design documents.
  • Working knowledge of MicroStation.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, including Word and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be flexible, well-organized, accountable, and dependable.

Compensation

In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
