Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for providing direct patient care, assisting physicians with procedures, and assisting with front office duties as needed. This role requires a strong understanding of medical procedures and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain patient vitals and update patient medical history while inputting data collected into the electronic medical records system
  • Prepare patient for various procedures and/or examinations and assist physicians as needed
  • Refill provider-authorized medications via electronic, fax, or phone as authorized and appropriate
  • Provide direction, support, and counseling regarding medical therapies and medications as directed by the physician
  • Serve as patient liaison and advocate as needed
  • Schedule surgeries and various diagnostic tests and provide scheduled dates to the patient
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Licensure and Certifications: Licensed Practical Nurse license and CPR, required
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years previous experience working as a LPN on an interdisciplinary team, preferred
Work Environment

This position will spend 80% of time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs. This position will spend 20% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment.
