Position Overview:

We are looking for a passionate Behavior Support Specialist to become part of our team. In this role, you will work closely with individuals, especially children, who have autism spectrum disorder or other developmental challenges. Your responsibilities will include executing behavior plans created by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to assist clients in enhancing their social, communication, and daily living abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to clients under BCBA supervision.
  • Execute behavior intervention strategies and gather data on client progress.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of tailored treatment and behavior plans.
  • Collaborate with families and caregivers to ensure uniformity in behavior strategy implementation.
  • Document client progress and maintain precise medical records.
  • Support clients in daily living activities (ADLs) and social engagements.
  • Conduct structured teaching sessions grounded in ABA principles.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with individuals with autism or related developmental disabilities.
  • Understanding of applied behavior analysis principles and techniques.
  • Ability to effectively engage with children and adolescents.
  • Experience in special education or behavioral health environments is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with medical documentation, care plans, and patient care practices.
