Overview

We are currently seeking a Data Analyst to support the mission of the US Department of Agriculture (USDA). Key Responsibilities

  • Collects, analyzes, and organizes data from various sources.
  • Ensures the accuracy and completeness of information received, addressing any discrepancies.
  • Inputs necessary data into databases, documents, or spreadsheets with precision.
  • Maintains organized physical files for easy access and reference.
  • Monitors the status of case files to guarantee adherence to deadlines.
  • Facilitates requests for additional information as required.
  • Extracts pertinent information from diverse sources to create documents, reports, summaries, and responses to inquiries, ensuring correctness and proper formatting.
  • Conducts word processing tasks relevant to case management.
  • Provides timely and accurate updates on case statuses.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED; an undergraduate degree is preferred.
  • Ability to comprehend the structure and functions of the organization.
  • Exceptional data entry skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to review, interpret, and assess complex legal and non-legal documents.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with other software applications, including databases; intermediate skills are preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing outstanding customer service with a positive and adaptable attitude.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team while maintaining professionalism.
  • Experience in banking or familiarity with software such as Omnipage, Bankscan, or Scanwriter is advantageous.

Citizenship Requirement

This position necessitates U.S. Citizenship and completion of a background investigation lasting a minimum of 7 (or 10) years.
