Position Overview at Sargent & Lundy

In this position, you will immerse yourself in the field of electrical transmission engineering, concentrating on the design of lines ranging from 69kV to 500kV. Your responsibilities will include selecting appropriate conductors and working closely with suppliers and clients to ensure high-quality project outcomes.

This role offers a balanced work environment, allowing for a combination of in-office and remote work, with a typical schedule of three days in the office and two days working from home. A relocation package is available for candidates who require it.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing electrical transmission lines within designated voltage specifications.
  • Performing cost assessments and establishing design standards.
  • Collaborating with suppliers and clients to define component specifications.
  • Engaging with project teams and a diverse client portfolio.
  • Creating proposals and cost estimates for upcoming projects.
Qualifications & Skills Needed:

To excel in this role, candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program, substantial experience in transmission projects, and proficiency in relevant software such as PLS-CADD. Strong attention to detail, excellent communication abilities, and a talent for navigating project constraints are essential.

Salary Range:

$97,000 - $115,000 per year
