Job Description:

Are you a licensed CDL driver looking for a challenging and rewarding career with a reputable company? Look no further than ABC Supply Co. As a CDL delivery truck driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of exterior and interior building products to our customers.

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting thorough load checks on your truck, adhering to assigned delivery schedules, and following all job directives precisely. You will also be required to document every step of each delivery by taking and uploading photos with our camera phone system.

In addition to your driving responsibilities, you may also be required to perform warehouse work, including loading and unloading materials on to or off of trucks or into warehouse as assigned. This position does not require over the road travel.

Responsibilities:
  • Treat customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Conduct a safe work zone during each job site
  • Adhere to assigned delivery schedule and follow all job directives precisely
  • Document every step of each delivery by taking and uploading photos with our camera phone system
  • Complete a thorough load check on your truck before leaving the branch, ensuring that all delivery materials are firmly secured and all parts of your truck are in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
  • Work in cooperation with the Delivery Material Handler to determine where to set the materials and unloading them
  • Complete and file all logs and required government paperwork in a precise and timely manner
  • Provide the customer with an invoice on completion of each delivery and collect the entire due amount on COD deliveries
Requirements:
  • Valid CDL - Class A or B
  • The ability to lift pounds repeatedly (your most common cargo will be 70 pound bundles of shingles)
  • Ability and willingness to work on rooftops
  • Pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens are required
  • Conveyor truck experience is preferred
  • Trailer mounted forklift experience is preferred
