Volkert Inc. is a leading design firm committed to providing innovative solutions for sustainability. We are seeking a talented Structural Engineer in Training to support our Southeast Region in Atlanta, GA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist a team of Engineers on various projects, including structural design and engineering studies, by performing engineering-related tasks such as research, development, design, and plans production.
  • Contribute to the preparation or modification of reports, plans, and designs for projects using the latest software and 3D design techniques.
  • Assist in the preparation of project quantity and cost estimates.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Participate in the collection and analysis of data and preparation of satisfactory designs.
  • Perform design calculations and conduct investigative analyses toward completion of assigned design tasks, and direct preparation of design specifications.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
  • Emphasis in structural knowledge.
  • 1 – 4 years of structural engineering experience (preferably with a government agency).
  • Previous experience with a government agency desired but not required.
  • EIT (E.I) Certification is required.
  • Experience with MicroStation.
